Is it just you?
If nothing here matches, work through these before you contact us. They fix most problems.
Step 1: Check your nbn connection box (FTTP, HFC, FTTC) and your router are switched on at the wall and showing their normal lights.
Step 2: Turn your router off, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on. Give it a few minutes to reconnect.
Step 3: Check the cable from the router’s WAN port goes to the right place: UNI-D 1 on FTTP and HFC, the connection device on FTTC, the phone wall socket on FTTN and FTTB.
Step 4: Try a device plugged into the router with an Ethernet cable. If that works, the problem is your Wi-Fi.
Step 5: Try more than one website or app, in case it’s just one service having trouble.
Check your own line
This page lists known problems, not your connection. Sign in and your service page shows whether we can see your connection online right now, and you can run a line check from there.

All the ways to reach usHow this page works
What gets posted here, who posts it, and how you hear about it.
- A person posts every notice
- Someone on our team writes each notice and updates it as things change. It isn’t an automatic feed, so if something’s wrong and it isn’t here yet, tell us.
- nbn’s problems are here too
- Outages and maintenance in nbn’s network appear here once nbn tells us about them. You report faults to us, not to nbn; we raise them with nbn and chase them.
- We email you as well
- If we know an outage or planned work affects your service, we email the address on your account, not just post it here.
- Planned work happens overnight
- We do planned work on our network overnight wherever we can, and we email you first if we expect it to interrupt your service.
- Resolved notices stay for 14 days
- Resolved notices stay on this page for 14 days after they end, with every update, so you can see what happened.
- Times are Sydney time
- Every time on this page is shown in Sydney time, labelled AEST or AEDT.
